Privacy Policy
Last updated
Ampluent stores the numbers you enter so it can forecast your cash. We don’t connect to your bank, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t use advertising or third-party analytics trackers. You can delete everything at any time.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Ampluent (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Ampluent website and app (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Use.
Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text.
- Profile details. Optional information you add on your Profile page, such as your name, phone number, date of birth, and preferred currency.
- Planning data. The accounts, institutions, balances, budget lines, events, categories, and forecast settings you enter. This is information you type in; Ampluent does not ask for or store bank usernames, passwords, or full account numbers.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email, such as a support request.
Information collected automatically
- Session cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use these logs to keep the Service secure and working.
How we use information
- To provide the Service: store your data and calculate forecasts.
- To operate your account: confirm your email address, sign you in, and send essential service messages.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To protect the Service: detect abuse, investigate security issues, and fix bugs.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use your planning data to market financial products to you.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers who process data on our behalf and only as needed to run the Service:
- Supabase for authentication, account emails, and the database that stores your account and planning data.
- Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, security, and request logs.
- Logo.dev for bank and card issuer logos. When the app shows an institution’s logo, your browser requests the image from Logo.dev, which receives the institution’s web domain along with standard request data such as your IP address. It does not receive your balances or other planning data.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep information
We keep your account and planning data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, accounts, balances, budget lines, events, and categories are permanently deleted from our database. Residual copies in encrypted backups and provider logs are removed on those systems’ normal rotation schedules.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correct. You can view and edit all of your planning and profile data directly in the app.
- Delete. Delete your account at any time from the Profile page.
- Other requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your data or objecting to certain processing. Email us at hello@ampluent.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and stored with row-level access rules so that each signed-in user can only read and change their own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
International users
Our providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the Service you understand that your information may be transferred to countries whose data protection laws differ from those where you live.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
